Imam Zeyli'i School Education | Baidoa

To address education gap ARD established Imam Zeyli'i School in Baidoa provides free primary and secondary education to more than 600 vulnerable children, including orphans, internally displaced children, learners from low-income families, and students with special needs. The project included classroom construction, furniture provision, WASH facilities, and teacher training. A new kindergarten facility with classrooms and a playground is also being developed to expand access to early childhood education WASH facilities installed (latrines, handwashing stations) Top 10 in South West State in 2025 Community Education Committee established School feeding programme integrated

Humanitarian

ARD delivers integrated humanitarian programmes including Ramadan food assistance, community Iftar, Eid support, annual Qurban distributions, drought response and emergency relief, helping vulnerable households maintain food security and dignity during crises.

Water Security

During the 2026 drought response, ARD delivered more than 100 truckloads of safe drinking water to drought-affected communities in Baidoa, Hudur and Wanlaweyn, providing lifesaving assistance to thousands of people.

Child Protection

ARD provides integrated support for vulnerable children through education, shelter, food assistance and family support. Our orphan programme helps children transition from vulnerability to stability through holistic, community-based interventions.
