Established in 2010, Arlaadi Relief and Development is a registered not for profit charity run by volunteers in Australia.
Donations are tax deductible and 100% of donations goes to our work in Somalia.
Zakat Brings Hope to a Grieving Family
Ali Mohamed Aden passed away on March 10, 2025, after a long illness. He leaves behind his wife, Nuunay Mohamed Miiris, and their 6-year-old daughter, Bishaaro.
The family was living in dire poverty, in a makeshift hut with no food and tattered clothing. With your generous zakat contributions, we were able to provide immediate support by covering the burial expenses and supplying provisions for Ramadan.
We then built them a new home – a room and family area constructed with corrugated iron, furnished with beds and mattresses. We also provided them with essential groceries.
On March 22, 2025, the family moved into their new home. Bishaaro’s face was filled with smiles, and Nuunay and her sister expressed their immense gratitude in a video, offering heartfelt prayers. Your zakat has transformed their lives, bringing them hope and happiness. May Allah accept your good deeds.
